Revell/Lodela 1/144 scale WW2 single engined aircraft series

Revell 1/144 Bf109E overview (36.6kB) As far as I can tell the first Revell release of this series was back in 1973.
Revell Germany acquired the patterns for a series of 28 1/144 scale single engined WW2 aircraft from the Mexican Lodela factory, however the style of the sprues of these models looks like Japanese manufacture from the sixties to me.

Revell Germany re-released twelve of the kits in the series in 1992 (it was rumored that the patterns for the other kits were corroded beyond repair) and in 2012 eight of the surviving kits (cat nrs. 04912 - 04919) were again re-released, followed by another eight kits in 2013 (cat nrs. 04928 - 04935).

Revell 1/144 1973 Spitfire overview (39.7kB) The 1973 release was called '1/144 scale MINI Series'.
There was a 'jelly bean' containing glue included in the box, 'exploded view'-style instructions were printed on the back of the box and decals were shared among multiple kits (e.g. the Spitfire and the Hurricane kits contained the same decal sheet). Initially the Revell Germany kits contained decals printed in Germany, later both the German and UK kits contained decals printed in the UK. The UK printed decals list the numbers of all kits containing that sheet, whereas the German printed decals only list a single kit number.
Display stands initially were black, this was later changed to transparent.
The kits released by Revell Germany came in boxes as shown on the picture with instructions in German on the back of the box and a separate sheet with translated instructions inside, the kits released by Revell UK came in boxes with a slightly different look and with instructions on the back of the box in English.

Revell 1/144 1992 Fw-190A overview (44.6kB) The 1992 release was called 'Mini 1:144'.
The size of the boxes was the same as the 1973 release, this time a small metal tube of glue was included and a small sheet with instructions was included in the box.
The parts of several models in the series showed traces of rust, but there was no excessive flash surrounding the parts.
Decal designs were improved compared to the 1973 release and each kit now came with its own unique set.

The 2012 release is called 'Micro Wings' (Revell had already used the name 'Mini Wings' for a series of prepainted snap together kits), this time no glue is included so the boxes were made slightly smaller than before. A larger and fully revised instruction sheet with much improved painting instructions was included in the box.

For the 2012 and 2013 releases the decal designs were again improved offering more details and better accuracy.

The kits in the 2012/2013 release are all in good shape: there is some flash but no deformed parts and no signs of corroded patterns.

Kit collectors take note: most 'Micro Wings' boxes were printed in two versions, the first release came with five-digit Email Color paint codes, later this was changed to generic two-digit Revell paint codes.
